sorry Stinky, i forgot to add

on the 2 days ride from Newcastle, about 400 Ks each day, i had NO PAIN or problems with
legs, feet, back, neck, arms, wrists, cold, rain or fog, and was able to stay focused, alert and very good concentration

the bum was the ONLY part that gave me grief.

As I have more birthdays, I find that the list of bits that ache after a long day in the saddle gets longer.

I actually found the Airhawk to be uncomfortable, restrictive, didn't like the "squishy" feel, or the extra height that it added to the seat.  Others find them to be excellent, but not me.   I have since developed other strategies to deal with "bot rot" on long hauls, including a top quality sheepskin cover, tilting the OEM seat back a little on it's mounts, and a range of changes to my seating position to return circulation to my arse cheeks.
