Wow we have had some goings on over the last few months, events in all the states, great photos, great food, some good laughs, it would look like a book for me to post them all, instead i am posting photos below for a look and a laugh :)

UPCOMING EVENTS

We have several events and overnighters coming up after National Rally, make sure you go to the events section and take a look, its a great excuse to use a tank of fuel or two, and meet or ctach up with other ST Owners around the country, The section you need to be looking in is OzSTOC Events National & Local

MEMBERSHIP and PEOPLE JOINING

if your talking to any potential members, or people who have joined and still learning about us, remember membership is free, we have a great circle of people who trade information, and go for a ride from time to time 

We really work hard on finding each and Every ST1100 & ST1300 we can, we do this by leaving a OzSTOC Business card on a ST if we find one, or simply walking up to the owner and saying hello, everyone is our advertising, if you need some business cards, send streak an email or message and he will post you some 

OzSTOC SHOP

The OzSTOC shop is behind at the moment Streak has had a few things happen in his world that have required his attention, he apologies for any delays and inconvenience, but sometimes these things happen, he will do his best to catch up!

if you want anything from the shop the latest date of order will be the 4th of March, after that Streak is in National Rally Mode.

ARE YOU ATTENDING THE NATIONAL RALLY?

With around 3 weeks to go - or 3 weekends, National Rally is right around the Corner.....

Have you Finished your ride plan?

Have you booked all your accommodation?

Remember it's time to go out to your shed/garage and do a walk around the bike to check a few things....

Do it now, in case that 'perished handgrip rubber' has to be ordered in, or that loose side stand bolt is unavailable at the moment etc.

Things to check include:

- side stand condition/operation
- electric windscreen movement and tracking
- exhaust brackets - wiggle the pipes - shouldn't move
- tyre condition - (the last 10% of tyre wear is only the last 1% of mileage)
- tool kit condition
- top box mounting screws
- powerlet/cig lighter socket (movement or suss wiring/connections)
- oil/coolant change?
- air/oil/fuel filter clean/change?
- brake pad condition
- brake fluid level/condition
- electronics connections/operation
- flat tyre repair kit condition (is the glue dried out, does the compressor still work, still got plenty of plugs? etc)
- do you need/want to get a fuel container to carry an extra couple of litres? (I always do) - go buy the tin now and see how/where it will fit when packed
- think about what you want in your tank bag (drink, muesli bars, camera, map, route plan, spot tracker, phone etc)


There are plenty of other things to check while you still have time to act

It is better to do this than be out on the road with non-functioning components! I think we ALL know this from experience.

Stuff we all know, but Steveo was put out of our Lions Road ride because just prior, a maniac in a cage on the Putty Road ran Steve off the road by going too hot into a corner - Steve hit the gravel to avoid a head on, touched the gravel verge and down he went - to be off the road for some time.     

Be extra vigilant, and do some checking over of your bike and gear for a more pleasant riding experience to the National Rally in Middleton.

Above All we want you to arrive safe to National Rally, and then get home the same way.

OzSTOC in General

You gotta love this place! website activity is right up with a 200 people viewing the website daily, there is lots of great content going up, so many of you are coming to events, you have diesel and I standing in corners whispering to each other "do you know him? i am not sure? maybe he was here last time" and it is a great problem to have!

Thank you to each and everyone of you who posts something, or helps out a fellow member, or simply just offers support when someone needs it, that is what makes us as strong and fun as we are...
