Supposedly a exhaust place in Gympie which will turn your standard mufflers into monsters. Demented WRX sound.
Replaces the baffles as does the exhaust bloke in Slacks Creek.
Forgotted the name but the one in Slacks Creek is a favorite with the goldwing mob who want a little more than radio noise.
Never under estimate the predictability of stupidity.

i put a set of staintune cans on my girl a long time ago - couldn't believe the difference :p - clean crisp power right up the tacho - no dead spot & she actually sounded like a motorcycle  not a singer sewing machine.
the best bit - if you put aussie staintune's on - no re jetting - they are tuned - instant power, instant sound, instant smile :grin
st1100 on special for $500 now - an altenative - there is a guy in brissy that will cut, flow, tune & shut your original 13 pipes for about $300 last time i heard -gives them a better note & breath better but still OEM if you no what i mean :cop.

either way - DOO ITTT - u'll never look back - the sound of that beautiful V4 at full song is something else :p - just look at it as a safety thing - the tin tops will be able to hear you & maybe not try to mow u down :runyay

In the video that Diesel posted the baffles are still in the Staintunes, they are not in mine :)

My question here is do you get that incessant drone on long hauls as a friend of mine said that he got on his yamaharley .
Hopefully at blackheath I will get to hear what the 1100 sounds like with different mufflers

For me my ST13300 has has two major negatives, the seat and the sound. Even my staintunes are way behind the sound of my old  Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe (V4 1300) and my old Yamaha XS11. Both of these were a pleasure to listen when riding, no need for a fancy music system and no incessant drone. The biggest pain with the Royal Star was keeping it clean and the horrible saddle bags otherwise it was up there with the ST and except for some visual things had no links to Harleys.

ah yes glen - all the jap harley's think they sound really great  :crackup - they have drugs to help you cope with that condition :eek :grin - 1 major problem with the v4/v2 jap harely - the V faces the wrong way :grin & sorry mate - it will never sound NEARLY as good as your 13 or my 11 or my bonnie with her staintunes.
a nice throaty rumble is just luvly - the excessively disgusting loud roar isn't :spank :-[ - but hey - it's a scooter & that ain't bad  :)  :dred11

Bob,
Guess we will have to agree to disagree, my ST still sounds like a sewing machine. My Yamaha was anything but a jap - harley and sounded like a bike should. Did your bonnie come with a drip tray?

I don't want to upset the apple cart but last sunday  I actully heard a quiet Harley. Well, relatively speaking anyway. Electra-glide version, stock pipes louder than my 1100 but not as loud as most other Harleys I've heard.

I am long over loud exhausts on a bike after years of inline 4s with race pipes.  Bikes don't have to be objectionably loud to still perform ok.  As a bike rider I am embarassed by how loud some bikes are for no good reason performance wise.  I have heard ST11sd and ST13s with loud pipes and to me they do not sound that good.  A bit of note and tone does sound good.  I have the earlier Staintunes with no adjustment, and they sound a bit deeper but no louder.  Suits me fine (I replaced the standard pipes only because one of the brackets broke and a set of pipes was available cheap - I was quite happy about how the standard pipes sounded)

had slightly moderfied oems sounded ok but with the k&n filter had some power flat spot issues.

just installed delkevic 450cm carbons on good friday but am haveing some issues im not overly happy with, the pipes from the collectors seem to be bent ever so slightly out, the muflers are to far back by a bit (may have needed smaller 350cm mufflers), the centre stand rest is also out a bit, heel touches the pipe when changeing gears (seems to be out to far). anyway i may get new pipes made up

after that scaveing report i am actually happy with the mufflers. the extra lenght is also growing on me and i will get pipes fixed

the power seems smoother on delivery ( combo of mufflers and k&n) . more testing this weekend and after some kays are put on to burn in! OUT comes the baffles.

 sounds great will be better

would i recomend delkevic?

yes

I have tried the STaintunes with the restrictor removed and while it sounded badass it seemed to drone a bit while cruising along at highway speeds, also the missus said that the drone while she was following was actually quite loud and she found it quite annoying. I've since put the restrictor back in and I am happy with it. Loud can be good..my Shadow with V&H Shortshots and home made baffles sounds lovely, but on the ST I think a nice muted throaty sound is fine.

I've always had aftermarket pipes on my bikes tho most have been inline fours (& a couple of inline 6's) I have to agree overly loud bikes sound crap specially Harleys with straight out pipes & I really don't like the sound of the V4 when it's very loud & this is one reason why I've not bought the Delkevics for my ST1300 yet.

Don't get me wrong I love the sound of an engine any engine that has a tuned exhaust however not all motors need to be louder at a certain point it just becomes noise & my ST has more power than I can use so the power thing is a bit moot for me & anyway I think the ST still sounds pretty good as it is

i agree - our STeeds have ample power to enjoy  :p- R1's they are not & were never meant to be :-((( - my stainetunes just make her breath freely & sound luvly  :thumb- she pulls freely thru the tacho with absolutely no dead spot at all - not like the factory cans which restricted her - but we all know that they do this only to keep the authorities{ADR} happy  - i replaced the suspension when it was needed -she handles sooo much better - just point it where you want with confidence - i put a K&N filter in only to save money cause genuine were/are ridiculously expensive - that's all i've done - the rest of the girl is just perfect the way our engineers in japan intended it to be - i'll be sad to see her go :-[ but alas i have changed my modus operandi - but i won't have a single bad memory of tokyo rose - i know the next pilot will enjoy many miles to come :hatwave :dred11
