I can't wait until I can wear the 70 YO tag.

Then I'll just ride around all day enjoying semi retirement, and with an arsenel of smart arse retorts to age related insults ('ticularlly them young whippersnapper Osifers of the Lo) in my head, life's going to be fun.  :law  :crackup

The ST will be a classic as well, so I'll be a right old showoff.  :grin  (Watch out you chiccy babes!) :eek

Leaders please note.  :-++ Honourable discussion on aged member folk gives me a thought.  :think1 (It wasn't painful either) |-i

Next to Ulysses, we would have to be the most predominant motorcycle group in the state (Qld) and the probably matching any in the country in activity.

Maybe our Lordships of the OzSTOC Cavalry could ponder how we could become an influence for the motorcycle community.

Our age range, maturity and experience could very well make us a relevant potential in political circles when it comes to regulations etc.

What thinkest thou, Captains and troops? :phone  :think1

Well from my end, to be honest i love the club and that is where my spare time goes, i think if i stepped out into other ventures, i might just be shot drawn and quartered, and quite possibly sleeping on Diesels couch.......

agreed that we might have some influence here and there, but we dont have the troops to be stepping into that part of the world at the moment, unless i win lotto then i am buying a house on the hill and raising the OzSTOC flag for all to see!

Hi Rex - after discussing your query behind the scenes.... we  came up with this point of view....

We don't have office bearers, so no one can really officially represent the group. The Ulysses club and MRA are doing a good job, and seem to know what they are doing. If members of OzSTOC also belong to MRA etc and wish to go to battle, then more power to them. We know of a few Members that are active in these groups.

We would be more than happy for members to post information and findings from the MRA as a conduit for information so other members can read it if they want.

OzSTOC was born as a social club with no politics, rank and file, and keeping it simple, our feeling is that it should stay that way.

Thanks for your question.     :thumb

Cheers,

Hear, Hear, STevo.

Ya can't have rebellious thoughts if youse are organised folks.

There's something very freeing about tootling around at the speed of a thousand startled gazelles, unshackled and unorganised, the latter of which I am good at.

If you have someone wanting to stand up front yelling "Orl right you lot", even in civilian tones, something fades from the lustre of the day.

I dunno if Youngster does "awesome time" any more.
At our age a cake and candles is awesome.    :rofl
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Agh hate that word.... What's wrong with "lovely" or "nice" even "great". I've even heard it in the  Workplace after a task had been assigned.... "I need to to do this.... "Awesome"

Sorry Shiney not having a go at you mate..... Cause you're Awesome... :fp
