Front fork seals
« on: February 16, 2014, 01:28:18 PM »
Came home the other day and as I normally do a quick look around the bike and there is oil everywhere up front.   A bit of checking and the front right hand upper fork seal has let go.  I don't have the time, tools or expertise to do this job so oFf to Honda dealer it goes.  After picking my jaw off the ground and asking are you sure????? I was given a quote of between $500 to $700 to replace the seals.  Is this right?  Has anybody else had this job done and what have you paid? :H

With labour around $100 per hour, plus parts, I guess it would be close. Would you be able to remove and refit the shock?? If so, that would drop the labour times a lot.
