The start of the Border run for 2015. Hoffy came to visit in the wee small hours and we proceeded to Midland where we met a Pezzz. It was a bit moist to say the least but undeterred we ventured off to the east. We stopped at Bakers Hill for a FarRider and Pezzz  to catch up.

Thanks to Pezzz we have photos. He always likes to have some lights on.

The next stop was for breakfast at Southern Cross where it was also wet (past the moist stage)

During our short stay we met two riders one of which had a migraine and had to turn back. He had a delivery to make at the Border so he asked us to carry the Pudding and pass it on to Gunna.

We finally made it to Balladonia for the night and spent many hours trying to dry out the gear. Still wet.

After getting up and putting on wet boots, gloves and helmet we ventured to Caiguna for brekky
We took up the challenge and carried the pudding to various places. This is at Davo's memorial at Madura Pass. Still wet.

Finally arriving at the Border Village.

Greetings were had and many discussions followed. The likely looking lads and ladette were gathered together and a record of the occasion was had.

The pudding was then handed to Gunna and Bear two of the originals. Hoffy was very interested in the long distance rides they had.

Did I mention it was still wet

Leaving our abode at Eucla

we headed back and passed this on the way. Pezzz had to record the event and thank goodness it smelled a lot better than in the previous day.

Another group of likely lads at the departure point for SAAZ who was heading south to Esperance and we headed north for home. Still wet.

Oh dear a slight crunching sound and the STead was revving way above normal no drive. Hoffy and Pezzz convinced me to push it into the bush and come with them to Coolgardie to get some help. Well I had not ridden pillion in about 30 years so it was going to be a new experience for Pezzz and me with Hoffy laughing behind.

Rush hour in Coolgardie at 8 am on a Monday

A quick phone call and STOOGLE (Yorkie) offered to come and play Pit Crew and Recovery Manager for me. All is good and we got home in comfort.

It must be said that riding with good companions is a treat. Thanks to all involved.

Well when is the next Border Run. I wanna go now.  :grin

Maybe we can do our own Border Run at a different time of the year . . Just for OZSTOCers? Where East  meets West for a beer . . Stuff the pudding . .

Just a little........you had it worse than us as we only had the rain most of the way from Nullarbor to the border.
