I use and love them (so I wouldn't grip the puppy too tightly, just tight enough).

Having a larger diameter grip helps avoid cramps, and in my opinion feels great!

On my WeeStrom, they helped with vibration, but that has never been a problem on the 1100.

I imagine they have a limited life, however my guess would be that it should be many years.

Mine have taken on the shape of my hands quite a bit and in the compressed areas have much less "give". This doesn't appear to make them any less comfortable, in fact may make them more so. There is no sign of the polymer breaking down, and mine have been in the sun for about 80,000 km (well, sort of).

A must have farkle for me.

Love my grip puppies  :thumb
I got a set from MotorCycleLarry a few years. I didn't fit them to my first ST1300 as I already had foam grips but finally fitted them about 12 months ago to my new one and love them ++

Were does one acquire these Grip Puppies?

I had foam slip ons on the 1300 when I bought it and they slowly split on one side so before they became a safety issue I tore them off.

I miss them and would love another set.
Cheers,
Gary

While Grip Puppies and Pussy Grips do the same job, keep in mind that they are slightly different. The foam/rubber on Grip Puppies is definitely firmer than that used on the Pussy Grips. I probably prefer the feel of the Grip Puppies but you soon get used to the Pussy grips.

go for the grip puppies, it may be just me but I tried the pussy grips but believe they were inferior and just did not last.

I just remembered some sage (possibly Shiney) said when I get a pair to use Alcohol Hand Steriliser Gel as a lubricant to slip them on as it dries faster than soapy water.

Ordered a pair from AndyStrapz.  :runyay

I use them too, both the puppies and the pussies and found no difference between the two.

Agreed gentlemen that they do a similar job. cost of pussie grips around $18  - grip puppies around $30 - purchase from Bunnings really cheap.  There are other variations around like the original grip buddies located here http://www.shop.originalbeemerbuddies.com/SMARTSKIN-Original-Grip-Buddies-OGB-AC-SS.htm  which you may pick up in a BMW Motorbike shop or this one http://grip-tek.com/specialty.html

They all probably so the same job but it comes down to horses for courses, what you feel good with  :thumb

Hair spray up the inside of the grip puppies assist in sliding them on, do one at a time though

No problem. I put the heater pads over the original rubber grips, then slid the puppies over the top. Work well.
