I first heard of OzSTOC from a few guys at a FarRide a few years ago. That's my thing, going for a good long ride. Might have been Saaz or Tack. Then I met Diesel and I knew Lionel already too.
All guys that ride and I sort of checked their bikes out as you do and that's how I heard of this place. Word of mouth works fine it seem's. Well do I remember Streaks first FarRide attempt.

The way things go I was on the lookout for a way to move a bike I didn't like and just happened to be trying new helmets when I spotted an 03 ST1300. It was in good condition for a bike ten years old and the shop offered me a good escape strategy to move the blue bike on. Latter that day I registered to go on the forum and had a good three day look about the place while I chewed the fat deciding on the buy.
Its been great, and I've got a different bike for the Border Run too.
My other bike is a Yamaha TDM900 named Kelpie. This dog will always be in my fleet.

Its a treat to have all the forum interaction with the OzSTOC site, something light on with a TDM scene in Aus.

My association with Ozstoc started when as a returning rider after 40+ years I traded my 1 month old second hand Honda Deauville 650 in on my 2008 St1300 and the salesman at Team Moto recommended Ozstoc and I then did a Google search and met up with Diesel. The rest is now a fantastic journey.

I have learn a lot from riding with or should I say chasing Biggles up and down many hills and around lots of corners.

Word of Mouth for me and have to admit, it was one lead well worth following up on.

I am glad I never found the Yahoo group as I have always found Yahoo to be one of the unfriendliest places I have been, hard to work with and I generally try to avoid anything to do with Yahoo.  Given the troubles I have had there, I don't think Yahoo likes me much either  :butt :butt

Pretty much joined up the same as a few other members, purchased a 2010 ST 1300, got onto a website (USA) for ST Owners, looking for some technical stuff re the ST, got to chat with some of the American members and a couple of blokes directed me towards the OzStoc website....and about the same time a mate told me he had already signed up....and the rest, as they say, is history.  Jochen50

Found it on the net while researching which bike to buy. When I bought my ST, I was going to rejoin Ulysses (previous member) but then remembered your website. Started browsing through it again as a Guest, and decided this was a group I would have the most in common with and decided to join. Everyone has been exceptionally friendly and welcoming to the group and am now looking forward to my first ride with the group this weekend.

I ticked the box "card found on bike" but in fact a very nice guy handed it to me just as I got off.

That was in York at the bike week end this year. I had the pleasure of joining you guys again at Moora a week or so ago but didn't recognise who it was handed me the card.

Any way, "well done that man" and thank you all. --- John.   :wht13

When I got Stutter I was checking out a few forums mainly for information, not really to sign up on - so you can blame Google.

As far as actually getting on here and being part of the group, thats all thanks to a card being left on my bike at the Xmas Toy run in 2012.

I had just purchased the bike of my dreams and was searching for some advice about tyres, tyre pressure a d fuel and info about minor servicing when I came across the group. Have found the forums to be a gold mine of knowledge and information.

Found it on the internet when I was looking at buying an ST1100. It was a great source of information before buying. I  was riding a CX500 before the ST but tried a BMW R80RS before but it didn't fit. Went for a test ride on an ST and knew it was the bike for me. Still own the CX and a CB77 so I do like Hondas. :bl11  :clap  :thumbs

I was at the Ulysses AGM at Maryborough this year and was talking with my brother (2009 ST 1300), He was wearing a cool looking Ozstoc shirt and he gave me a rundown on the club, we then happened to spot a shiny black 2012 ST 1300 at the Honda stand and that was that......Two weeks later I was a proud owner!! The Honda Run-out deal on the ST was too much for even the minister of finance to resist....the site is great too...loads of great info and knowledge and I'm looking forward to meeting up with everyone at one of the rides...Terry :thumbs :blk13

I bought my ST1300 late last Feb. came home and googled for relevent web sites and bingo!
I was on the Honda CBR1100xx site for a number of years. I mainly get on for tech info but having a social side to a local site is definately a big bonus.

My wife and I were at Maryborough Ulysses AGM. During my afternoon nanny nap someone spoke to Sue about Ozstoc and left a card on my seat. I joined not long after and have enjoyed the forums and the information. Maybe I can be of help someday.

As a member of the Oxley region amateur radio club, I was organizing the communication for the Beechwood billy cart classic.  A spectator, a member of the ST Owners club approached me and told me about the site. I joined a few days later and although I have not taken part in any rides so far, I do intend to soon.
