It's not the jacket that's the problem.  Your head is on back-to-front!    :eek
Get the Missus to twist it back the right way round and it will feel just like your old jacket, only flasher looking!!   :thumbs

thursday arvo? spotted at the 7/11 near pacific fair gold coast QLD . someone wearing a new ozstoc jacket, only thing was he was riding a suzuki GSXer?

something else. as you know in warmer climate one sweats under a waterproof lining, to the extent its a muchness as to which is worse, jacket or no jacket. In this weeks rain i have been riding in the new jacket without the wet lining. arms get a bit wet and belly damp, not wet. much more comfortable than with lining and protected as well.

why you should wear gloves always:: when you end up in hospital you can wipe your own bum.
I'll shut up now

I juST did my 1ST (Far)Ride wearing my new Large OzSTOC CuSTom Jacket, bad photo at 350 am leaving home.
 ++ ++ ++ ++ ++
Overall I am very happy with my CuSTom OzSTOC jacket,, it LQQks very good and people have said so, very STylish an assessment below..

I had the rain lining in in case of showers and a T shirt under my OzSTOC shirt arm shoulder and cheST vents open.
I was comfortable, not cold not hot. After the sun was up  I opened the reST of the vents STill with the rain liner in. It took me a while to get used to BRIGHT ORANGE  upper arms in my lower eyesight,,
It rained, well heavy drizzle, and wheel spray from traffic for about 45 mins, I didnt get wet at all, when it STopped the jacket dried off completely very quick..  I  :like the way it wears when riding, it is comfy, feels safe/secure in the event of,,,  :-((( an off . dosent want to sit high around shoulders, the lower back pocket is great to put wet lining in, it wears, well  keeping the waiST of the jacket even. :like  the arm length is perfect (for me), not riding up the for-arm, like the SMALL jacket did.I arrived at Nambucca STill comfy but STarting to get warm so I took the rain liner out for the trip home.
No rain on the return trip and I had opened all the rear vents I found and STayed cool,  :thumb
:well :OldMan NOW for some negatives,, only a few  observations of things that could be IMPROVED, mayB the new orders could have these done..
1, the collar flap could have to padding removed, I find it annoys my adams apple. without the current padding I think would be better.

2
I notice both the inside pockets are NOT waterproof.  the mobile phone pocket inside R, although the pocket is made of waterproof material, it is sown onto the breathable liner, my suggeSTion make a full 'pouch' and sew that onto the inside a simple FIX.. I read RobGardiner (NZ) riding in rain without liner in, got wet. my thoughts after the cordura got saturated the contents of both inside pockets would also be wet. As there is NO inside pocket in the wet liner these 2 pockets inside main jacket are in effective. ok in the dry though.
3. I find the lower front pockets could have a simple change that will improve them a lot. the top
of the pocket sides where the zip  is sown on shrinks the pocket opening  it the zip was attached across the top,  then the pocket sides sown on allowing the side panel to expand it would be easier to put things into pocket.  does any of that make sense?

I would agree the collar rides too high on my throat.  I have to wear it with the top section undone.  I know Streak changed it from the original during his trial of the prototype.
I might see if my Textiles Teacher wife can modify it.

Hi guys,  Wore the new jacket on the weekend to the Nambucca FarRide and found It very comfortable. When we left home it was 10° but going to get up to 28 in Nambucca, so I removed the winter liner and left the rain liner in to stop the wind coming through. This liner prove to be really good at keeping me warm even with a t shirt underneath  :thumbs

Once we arrived at the coast into temps around 27 I removed the liner and opened all 6 of the zips on one side of the jacket to compare each side. The difference was quite amazing and had me opening the other side of the jacket with all 12 vents now opened.

I found the jacket really comfy with none of the annoying rubbing that you can sometimes get with other jackets with the armor at the elbows and no irritation under my chin from the collar.

From a ladies view although this is a mens jacket and is perhaps a little wide for me across the shoulders the adjjstable waist belt sits quite high and does bring the waist line in for the female figure.

If your interested in a jacket for your pillion we still have a few remaining that would suit ladies in sizes 10 12 and 14.

I did 3 days and 1,700km in my OzSTOC jacket with conditions ranging from 36 degrees to 11 degrees, sun, wind, and grasshoppers.

I was really impressed with it in the heat, with all the vents open at a 100km was working nicely, with the screen right up it did block to much wind, so I found my happy medium, and I was nice and cool, only part of me that got hot was my back where my camelback was sitting, riding without it on the breeze flowed nicely.

got hit by a few nice sized grasshoppers as well and barely felt them.

with the 11 degrees riding between Tenterfield and Casino at 5am QLD time I zipped up all the vents and had no liners in it, and it was quite warm and comfortable.

water proofing I cant comment on as I didn't get wet.

with the Collar, I have never liked the strap across my neck in any jacket I have owned, so I decided to make adjustments to this one myself.

I went to a lady here who's business it is working on this sort of gear, and she adjusted as per MY requirements, so my opinion is not really all that even as I don't like straps (Cost me $30)

I did 2600kms to and from Nambucca, in conditions of 12c up to 37c. Basically I agree with Pockey and Streaks comments. In the hottest weather I did not have all the vents open (ok, I missed seeing all of them!) but I did not feel any different at 25c and 37c. The air flow was enough to let to let what little sweat I might have had to regulate body temperature. For the first time for ages when I took the jacket off at the end of a hot leg, I was not soaked underneath. All riding was with the front done up - with my previous summer jacket I often had the front undone a fair bit.  I also did not feel nearly as thirsty while riding, so while staying comfortable the cooling did not rip out near as much moisture as it is more subtle.

Due to the fairing and screen coverage not as much cooling happens at low speed. I probably have even more coverage on the Trophy due to the wider screen and bodywork, so I tried standing up at times to see what would happen. More air flow happened, but I did not feel I had to do that to stay comfortable. The jacket may work at lower temperatures than I thought as with vents open down to 12c was ok for short legs, so I did not bother to stop to zip them all up. Have to wait a few months to test the liner for warmth, and no rain to test the jacket with and without the waterproof liner.

Should also add that the jacket is more substantial than my previous summer jacket with far better armour, but did not notice I had it on while riding.

As a side point, my son has just got his motorcycle learners, so lots of family rides coming up to get his confidence up, and all looking great in matching jackets too! :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs

And, no, she won't have the overlocker in Toowoomba, so you can save your hugs... :-(((

It  rained today. Wearing my new jacket and my forearms got wet.
This thing I waited 6 months for is no better than my 20 year old dririder.
yes the wet liner was in properly.not happy.  Will contact zen  re .$$
