Any recommendations for a hand held unit ?

I tried hand held, and find they dont like the electrical noise of the bike, and their range is reduced.

I have been using a GME (in car unit) on the top of the  dash for 5 years, it works well.

Cerebral Knievel:
I am soon to be bikeless again for a unknown period and don't want to get a in-car install in the 4wd but would like a decent portable if possible  ;-*
