So where to for a NSW RTE for Janurary 2013 ??? Work out a date later....

I was thinking somewhere North of Sydney and well South of the QLD border to get the Sydney and Northern NSW members together for a day.......hats of to the members from further afield who put in the big miles and make them an overnighter.

I will throw in Gloucester NSW......few different approaches available.

Roadies Cafe in the Main St have great meals.

Gingers Creek.....Oxley Hwy (between Walcha & Wauchope)......

Great ride from East and West, some say the best twisties in NSW, alot cooler than down on the coast this time of year.

However weekend rides through this destination can be a hazard to your health due to an infestation of crotch rockets.......

The Oxley Hwy to Gingers creek and Walcha is a "local" road for me but I wouldn't choose to ride it over a weekend.  Each time I get along that road there is a collision or if not then some road user (motorcyclists and not tin top drivers) cross the centreline to my side to the extent that only I can avoid a collision.  There is a lot of "too much courage and not enough fear" or "too much ambition and not enough experience" on that road so if it's your choice leave something up your sleeve.

Since we go inland to be as central as we canfor our members what about Forster or Port Stephens for  bit of something different?

Gloucester is a good choice this is just another option.

Gloucester sounds good, or maybe Nabiac where the museum has a house out the back for cheap overnight stays. Be good to meet some more of the city members, and not that far from Newcastle.

Good choice STeveo, Nabiac has a hot rod shop (building a rod at the moment)

just out of town.  Has a good pub/great butcher shop/fuel station and very close to Bucketts Way, Krambach, for those traveling from the north/south or twisting west (caution as previously mentioned).  If I'm not working I'll be there.

I've had Will Hagons Kew Pitstop on my calendar for a while, so any destination suggestions via Kew would be enticing to me, that is unless I do it sooner, along with the Oxley....I've just started a month of Long Service leave with no plans yet

Just my two bobs worth, but had thought Gloucester would have been an ideal hook up spot, and as has been said, good roads to there as well.
