Funny name.... After doing a fair amount of motorcycle touring/camping without a chair, I decided that my aging bones needed a decent chair to sit on at the end of the day. I finally settled on a Kermit Chair and bought one a couple of years ago, It packs down to a little round bundle just 550mm long, and is rated to seat a 160kg person, and has been tested to 340kg. I figure that someone that big won't fit in the chair anyway. It sits low to the ground like an "event chair", and optional leg extensions are available if you like to be higher, although the lower position is very comfortable indeed. They are not cheap at $139 USD but I figure it's worth every cent, and can only be purchased via the Kermit Chair web site, which is www.kermitchair.com (http://www.kermitchair.com) Mine packs across the back seat, and is the black bundle on top of the beding roll in the photo of the bike at the Head of the Bight on the way over to Perth. Remember, the quailty is remembered long after the purchase price is forgotten.
