This was posted to FB group I am a member of, and I thought the time will come when someone here might need these.

Nice find..

Biggles:
Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever needed to replace one?  And if so, why?
Some funny pricing on that eBay site:  2 for $8.58 apparently competing with two other sellers with the same product (differently formatted photos) charging $3.87 or $4.66 for a dozen.   Wot thuh

Jdbiker:
Haven’t had occasion to replace one but have seen plastic sight glasses which were yellowed and cracked with age making it unable to see the fluid level .

I have replaced two on a 1200 Goldwing because they had gone brittle with age. I used 18mm watch glasses and Araldite. It worked quite well, but the proper gear would be better.

I suspect that we won't actually need to do this for a while on our bikes, although early 1100's that have lived in the Aussie sun all their lives might be getting close.
