Had a set of Michelin PR5 GT's and new front brake pads fitted at Scotty's in Ringwood yesterday. Returned home around $650 lighter. Found a twisty route for the ride home, but didn't get to test 'em, that might have to wait for the RTE in two weeks.
The front was getting very close to be in desparate need of replacement, the rear had (perhaps) a coupla K to go, but (to me) it was not worth a separate trip.
The front got just on 15K, don't exact km from the rear as the speed sensor stopped working half way around Tassie last year, but I'm guessing it did around 11 to 12K.
I've also serviced the rear suspension pre-load adjuster, and I'm hoping this will address the rear tyre scalloping I've been experiencing.
