Apple says motorcycle vibrations can damage iPhone cameras

It always amazes me that anyone buys these things.
First they only work if you hold them in your left hand
Then they bend if you put them in your pocket
Now you cant mount them on your bike.

What's next?

I think the susceptible component is the Optical Image Stabilisation module in the newer and higher-end models. It’s a very complicated and sensitive piece of wizardry.  I’m pretty sure the same danger applies to the OIS module in other brands too though.

Quadlock introduced a dampener for just this purpose.

Apple products are overpriced, for what you get.

Did you know that Samsung phones come with a free charger????

Quadlock has come to the rescue, well actually it was already rescuing before Apple "discovered" the problem.

Plenty of suckers out there willing to part with their money! :popcorn

And I betcha they don't use half the stuff the phone is capable of...

Personally, I wouldn't waste my money buying an iPhone even if I was filthy rich!  :crazy

Not a fan of Samsung either as they install too much extra crap containing built in ads...

I have an Oppo.  It does what I want it to do.

I currently have a "Realme" mobile which is an offshoot of Oppo.

My last phone was a Nokia...but I've  had a few different brands over the years, all have done everything I've required of a mobile phone at a fraction of the cost of an iPhone or top of the line Samsung...  :thumbs

People buy all sorts of things, including motorcycles and helmets for various reasons. The reasons are right for them and thats all that matters.

PS my last iphone was a castoff from my son so it was the cheapest you can get!

Show me an old android phone that supports the Current Version of the Android OS!

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212712

Apart from anything else, old versions of Android allow for Security Vulnerabilities!!!

Of course, if you are not concerned about having a secure phone and you're not doing anything more than using it for telephony, it doesn't matter...

I use my phone for so much more!
