Just pulled into the driveway.
Beers for me & the wife. :beer
Tomorrow can wait.
At 24hrs we had done 1147.2 kms.
Good to meet those FarRiders on their ST's.
And yes I did notice, we were the only ones with club shirts.  :thumb

Well done Mark.  I arrived back in Brissie 3:15 this arvo- straight to grand daughter's birthday party, so no rest for Gramps.

1039.4 km in 24 hours for me.  And I got 6 hours sleep   ;D

Plenty of stories to tell, I know.  Beatup and I rode a few kays together today.  We had a coffee break at Granite Creek at the Rider Reviver and had a chat with a Copper who was actually a decent bloke.  So that's two we know now, hey Tackleberry?  In fact, I even got a wave from a Bike Copper going north, so maybe there's a pro-biker virus infiltrating the "service".   :cop

Diesel's little donation to the Policemen's Ball might have cheered them up.   :-(((

Now Biggles I hope your not including me in that statement or you'll ruin my rep. :rofl

WE arrived home about 1:30 this arvo after the electrical problems started again & having to repair the bike on the roadside, the rear shock collapsing subsequently giving me a sore butt from Queensland roads (Screwed again by the Gubbernmunt), and picking up a flat tyre today on the way home did I have a great ride?  Hell yeah I spent three days riding, spent a weekend with my son, and met some blokes that I trade crap with over the net.

It was fantastic to meet up with the STOC members that made the ride, and I appologise again for the crap location, fellowship and roads to hold our little meeting. :whistle  Thanks for attending peoples.  For those that missed it:

The roads:

Great shots Tack.  Fantastic weekend too thanks Champ! Kudos to you and Thommo. Also - Rhys is a legend too - wished I was a FarRider at age 10!!!!

Will talk soon. Keep me posted on "those two special rocks" too pls mate.

Congratulations to all you FarVirgins who popped your cherry. Nicely done. Great to meet some more of you OzSTOC 'ers face to face as well.

Also to Biggles - well done. There are folks a third of your age who can't do that kind of ride - good planning ol spot.

Pics to follow.... my bank account details can be provided to those of you who misbehaved that want to buy me off!

Cheers, Congratulations and thanks to all who enjoyed this weekend.

Diesel

PS I wasn't my fault! It was beatup's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah lads and lassies, great weekend. Don't know exactly how many kms I did there and back. Both trip meters went back to zero after 2000. Diesel led me astray and now I'm no longer a farvirgin but got my revenge by leading him astray - he might tell you how. Missed the red bellied black on the road, the eagles took off in the right direction and that candy car driver Biggles was talking about led me almost to Benaraby at speeds which were highly illegal. (he'd been doing an escort and was hurrying to get back to Bris) Gave him a couple of the ST club cards cause there are traffic who work with him and are owners. And the Qld boys are getting ST's this week to supplement the FJR now replacing the Beemers. Found out I like my headlights with only the H4's in them. Brighter than I thought out in roo country. Only drama was the changes I made to my phone holder didn't hold and felt it fall on my leg while Biggles led me astray at 120kmh. Stopped, walked back picked up the body, the back, found the battery and put it together and messaged Diesel. Bloody thing worked. Want something indestructable by a Nokia E71 or 72 with the steel body. ($199 as prepaid). No, there was another small problem. Do not go on a far ride with a helmet you have only worn for a couple of short rides. Bought it tight and it just became tighter as wind pressure drove it onto the skull. Left for north at 12 Fri got back 2.30pm Sunday (originally said Sat). Happy with that since the longest ride in the last couple months was 120kms. Thanks Diesel

So that's where you got to!!  By the time I realised you weren't keeping up in the overtaking stakes I was miles down the road and figured you were off having another smoke!  :-(((

No doubt about Nokia quality!  It's the only brand I'll have in cell phones.

Will have to post a few pix today- been busy catching up with the work that was waiting for me when I got home.

It was a good weekend, all the crap weather on Thursday aside, and perhaps the road closures due to fires on the way back on Sunday. Did 4800kms all up from Thursday to Monday just to do a 1152 kms qualifying trip in 24hrsto Eungella...something wrong about that!   New tyres have centre flat spot but remarkably little wear, so interesting to see how they will last.  Grip in very wet conditions was faultless, as was in the dry.  No moments whatsoever so the Shinkos seems pretty good.  They are a bit stiff so communicate road conditions a bit more than other tyres.

I will see if the panaroma picture at Eungella turned out. If no photo is posted up, guess it didn't.

What's the deal with the Ramp into nowhere?

Hang gliding runway - or as I like to say "place to jump off a perfectly good and safe mountain!"     :rofl :rofl :rofl

I'll get a link to a thread for you. Basically you don't have to - but some like to...

As diesel says, you don't need the shims for the H4s to go in, but it does make sure that the bulbs are located properly.  There is am alternative wire trick that has been used.  I will see if I can get a link to a document that you can access, or I can email through.

Well haven't found anything with pictures.  The shims are the easiest way to do it, but I believe that Honda car dealers may have bulbs that will fit the ST with the Honda tab spacing, and they come in 60/55w.
