You may be aware he will require a pinion wrench, Honda Tool Part Number 07910 - MA10100.
Given there is a good chance I may need one for my GL1500 and I needed a good excuse to buy a rotary table / dividing head for my milling machine I thought I had better make one.
It took hours to pick the the rotary table, some free material from an old work connection and setup the rotary table.
It took less than an hour to successfully manufacture the first one so I thought I would make a second.
I now have two, one to live within OzSTOC on the west coast and one for the east coast should anyone need one.
Having checked the manual on reassembly this tool needs to be used on the end of a tension wrench so I now need to make an adaptor to a 1/2" sq drive.

Thanks Glen, the big bugger is now in my possession and I am glad I didnt have to pay for it to me designed and manufactured.

This too will make  the pinion nut and seal removal/installation much easier.

Torque for the 1100 is 150 Newton meters, (15.0 Kg-m, 108Ftlb )

I made one a few years ago out of a socket when I rebuilt the GL1000
