Hello everyone and thanks for a great site. Just purchased a 1995 st 1100 yesterday. My first time back on a big bike for about 30 years. Rode bikes for work for several years. then got married, had kids, house mortgage and so the story goes. I've now been accused of having a mid life crisis. I guess if that is true I am going to live to about 118 years of age. I purchased my bike from a gentleman who has owned it for the past 14 years. When I was looking into the bike I asked him why he was selling. He said he was getting a little on in years and had a crook knee. I asked him how old he was if not too rude. He came back with 80 years young!! Bike is in excellent condition and has obviously been loved all it's life. Anyway look forward to following the forums and gleaning some info that may help a newbie.

Good evening Mal and a Warm Welcome to the forum from the Wild West. :hatwave

I think you're the first rider we've had from that area. You might have to become a FarRider to join in our rides. Have a look at the FarRiders site, if that sort of thing interests you, because the STs are popular with us, and you'll meet a few of us there. TJ189 on this Forum is a regular distance rider. You'll find plenty of good oil here and lots of appalling jokes, mostly from W.A.

Welcome Mal, enjoy your time on the forum. :thumbs A number or riders regularly run down your way on some of the longer trips so keep an eye out. You will find some great information here to keep you busy with your bike as well.

Welcome to the crew! I played a lot of rugby union against coonabarabran back in the day, scored one of my favorite try's doing the Maori side step over their fullback to win a game :thumb
Look forward to seeing around the forums, and if you have Time at one of our events around the traps
Cheers

Welcome. Coonabarabran is not that far away, only went through it the other day. Stay tuned for a ride location west of the Blue Mountains that you may be able to manage for a ride to eat..
