Title: ST1100 air Damper
Post by: Yorkie on October 28, 2013, 06:50:39 PM
I made up a damper to fit under the headlight, tested by myself and another fitted to Wombat's STeed, on RTE to Bremmer Bay.
We both agree it cuts road noise from front tyre and stops wind forced up from under the fairing therefore reducing buffeting.

This is trial made from scrap PVC, fitted to each STeed.

This is finished product from 3mm aluminium.

Attached is exactly one half in PDF, cut out and draw one side, flip over to do other.
I would suggest making out of cardboard initially to ensure it fits for your STeed.

Good job. I have seen reference to these being used, but not here.
