Hey all,
Am finally getting the farkling process started now, have done a few little things so far (USB power socket, painted grey plastic black & modified the top box to carry the pup).
One thing that is bothering me is the front LH storage pocket lid. I've painted it with the VHT vinyl paint, but after a few weeks use, the paint is starting to crack, understandably. Does anyone know of a hard pocket lid for the LH faring? Happy to buy one or if someone has the skills, bow & scrape, politely asking if they could make one (or certainly assist me do the same).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
Nate

There used to be one, but its no longer available unfortunately it would be much better than the lid that wants to keep opening...

Seems like we'll have to make one then... That's a bummer, but not a bad idea for a project.

I have somewhere a pattern to make the lh lid rigid and lockable. I will dig it up and post it tonight hopefully.

Check out eBay uk, they sometimes become available, the first one I bought had a perspex lid which broke after about 6 months so bought a later model one made out of grey plastic ex uk police. wish that it was lockable but have my uhf in there now.

Thanks for the suggestions gents, will keep an eye out for a prebiotic one, or if I get a little bored, will try my hand at some fibreglass work.
Cheers!
