Title: Pictorial Report on Uralla Xmas in July 2014
Post by: A2Z on July 17, 2014, 08:52:26 PM
Sorry this took a while to get out folks. It was my first time using Photo Bucket and it was a bit of a struggle getting the hang of it. Catch you on the next one.

In spite of the cold outside, Friday night was a warm friendly gathering of early arrivals. The pub accommodation was a pleasant surprise, as was the quality (and quantity) of the restaurant food.

Bikes were tucked into bed in the drive-thru bottle shop by 9:45pm. Thank you my publican.

And just as well too, as by the time we got the bikes under cover, there was already a layer of ice on my bike.

We woke up to -4° Saturday morning and met ST2UP, Johnny YTED, Sicman and Pit Stop for a lovely breakfast at the White Rose Cafe. Highly recommended.

After brekkie, it was time to get the bikes out of the shed and gather in front for the RTE within the RTE to Dorrigo.

First stop was Ebor Falls.

Then it was lunch at Dorrigo. Excellent food and service. From the road, you would never have spotted this restaurant this gem of a restaurant.

After lunch, it was time for the obligatory photo op with our beloved banners.

Next stop was an interesting visit to a train graveyard. A must for the train enthusiast.

Then it was a stop at the Dorrigo Lookout, a quick trip down and back up the Waterfall Way, and a flying visit at the Dorrigo Skywalk, before heading back to Uralla.

Back at Uralla, it didn't take long for everyone to leave their bikes and seek out their warm rooms. It was getting cold VERY quick.

A cold start to Sunday morning was easily fixed with a hot breakfast at the White Rose Cafe. Just what was needed to get us on our way home again

We went home via the Thunderbolt Way, were JohnnyYTED escorted us to Gloucester. There we stopped for coffee and caught up with Craig and his lovely pillion, Verity. This is were we split up and went our own way home.

Probably take out the Award for best RR of the year with all those great pix.
I love it when people can frame a photo of a group and include the whole of them rather than just a line of faces across the middle of the pic with no legs (and often a large chunk of ceiling/sky).

Sorry Biggles, but Pockey is not in this picture. If you are referring to that rogue sitting down on the far right, that's Fish. He's a ring-in from SA. He came up with StinkyPete. Top bloke...even if he rides a Harley.  :thumbsup
