When you log on and hit the "Show unread posts since last visit" link next to your avatar.... (A in pic below - click to enlarge pic) you are only viewing RECENT unread posts (see B in pic below), and you may think not much has happened on the forum - (See C on pic below) as I have only 1 page to display.
Well....
At the bottom of the page is another link (D in pic below) - click it....

See below how there are 54 pages of topics to go through now...

Meh I only had 1 page... I usually mark everything as read as soon as I go through the list every morning

I tend to skim through most posts to make everyone is relatively behaved. Not that read every word..

Like wise, and make one or two posts here and there, and the occasional smiting along the way.

I read pretty much all the posts except details about other States' RTEs.
I just click on "A", read what I want and "Mark as read" the remainder. That keeps my to-do list very short.
