Site Running Slow

Is this site running really slow for anyone else, or just me...It takes ages to do anything. All other forums I visit seems to be ok?

For what it's worth - I am applying an upgrade patch at the moment - should return to normal soon.

Cheers

Hmmm... I know the site does daily maintenance and some backups (dunno what time tho).

I'll keep monitoring.

If anyone else is having this prob - pls post here.

Hang on a second! Do you even have broadband in Maryborough?      :P

Yup, your site has been running slow on and off for last couple of days. Sometimes I am getting timeouts when I select a page.

Thought you must have your server on a dial up account  ;D

It appeared to have been much worse after about 6pm WST.

As per Marcus comments, I use the net for other things too, and my connection normally runs at about 1500k per second, so I assumed that you have a log on limit or bandwidth throttle with your new site address??

Thanks to Member donations, I have been able to have our site put on the faaaaast server now.

I'm hoping you are noticing a marked improvement in the speed and reliability of the site now.      :CB--

Comments?

Cheers, Diesel

Yeap when I tried to post the above got this reply????

The connection has timed out
The server at ozstoc.org is taking too long to respond.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I have found a marked improvement recently............but I'm still having a few problems. Like tonight, I just couldn't get in to the site at first  :cuss, then when I did, I couldn't open any of the posts  :cuss. I went out and tried again, and all is now OK  :crazy (hopefully).
