You've got the right spirit to handle this one, Pete.  There's a lot of techniques available now to arrest the disease and enable you to continue being a blessing to others.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Saw this fine old fig tree today on the Terania creek near Protestors Falls...only a few short months ago this gorge once again turned from a place of beauty to night marish horror as the heavens let leash close to a meter of rain, turing a steady stream into roaring torrent washing nearly all before it.

Yet so well rooted in rock was this wonderful old tree...:-)

I'm disappointed to advise that my prostate cancer, which made a reappearance in my right lung a little while back, is continuing to grow and spread more quickly.  I'm having another PSA test in a few weeks time to confirm that the rapid rise in level over the last three months was not a aberrant reading, but it seems that my readings have turned the corner on the exponential curve.   It's time to stop monitoring and get serious.  I'll be having more scans to get a pre treatment baseline for what it's doing, and then anticipate starting both androgen deprivation therapy and chemo in a couple of months.  As I said before, treatment is not expected to get rid of the cancer, but will keep it at bay for a while.  Please keep Chris and I in your thoughts and prayers, as we continue to journey with this bloody disease.  I'm still feeling fit and strong and have no symptoms, but know that will change.

A couple for weeks ago I had some scans and tests which have shown that my cancer continues to grow slowly, so it's time to stop monitoring and start treatment.   Today I had the ADT implant, which is expected to knock off around 95% of the cancer cells, and I meet with the oncologist in mid October to discuss a round of chemotherapy.  This appointment is what is keeping me from getting to Wooli.....    :well
I remain fit and strong, and confident that this disease can be kept at bay.   :thumb
