A nice run Alan, I've often wondered about those roads and towns as alternatives when riding on my way to Ceduna thru Kimba or via Port Lincoln to Streaky Bay . . . Might make a detour next time . .

On my first trip (2007) west I stopped off at Whyalla to see the grand kids and it was either ride up to Iron Knob or go South via Cowell and Lock and then north to pick up the Eyre Hwy at Kyancutta which is the way I went. The road from Cowell to Lock is another motorcycle related road for about half the distance as well.
