He's just 84 km from Charters Towers, so help isn't far away.  If he has RACQ, they'll rescue him pretty quickly.

Car & Trailer on the way from Townsville (mate of Dave's).

Our plan B was an Eastbound Truckie from the lights on the hill Roadhouse at Hughenden who was going to collect him on the way through and stash the bike roadside and Dave return for it later  ;-*

Home safe and sound.

Many thanks to Kev for his constant surveillance and sharing of info

Many thanks to ST2UP and the RAN network ..... even though I ended up with a mate coming to the rescue it was EXTREMELY comforting knowing I had a network that was preparing to either send support or make calls and contact random trykies etc etc. 

Who ever thought of the RAN concept in the first place needs a gold medal and
A chocolate milk. 

I will post some other info as a round up later during the week with a photo of the offending tyre and offending electric air pump. 

Again ..... many thanks and I have already started planning my SS2600/36hr rematch.
