Just pay 6 months for one of them to split them next year.  There's a small admin fee.

Picky Cop said I didn't indicate for my left turn.    :cuss

A few years back waiting at a red light at a T intersection in Wantirna in eastern Melbourne. As the lights changed I was about to start when I noticed a vehicle travelling at 80-90kph and not stopping. Would have collected him prperly if not alert.

Powers Lookout is pretty good.

What the best and worst battery life you have got?  (The five year old battery in Helen's Mazda 6 has just shyte itself, RACV want $213:00 to supply and fit, I think I get one myself.)

Edit:  I've got a comparable one these in the RAV4, and it's damn good value.

http://www.everybattery.com.au/proddetail.php?prod=55D23LNP

At this price, I'll pick one of these up on the way to grandson's birthday tomorrow and then fit it myself.

Get yourself some D cells, wire them in series to a cig lighter plug and plug it in first. It will keep the radio and computer powered.

I think the power sockets are hot in them.

Bit late for that, the battery is completely dead.  I think the radio pre-sets were lost when Mrs W tried to start the car this morning.

Neat trick!
Wouldn't you think they'd have some capacitors in them to tide over a battery swap?  But no- lose the power then try to find your key code for the radio.  I think the car's computer is self-powered, otherwise you'd lose the ODO.

The ODO and a few other things are in non volatile RAM (it is remembered on power loss), but some is lost.

10 years (2006-2016) with OEM Yuasa on the Deauville and still going strong.

8 months with Exide deep cycle on 4X4. ( dual battery setup).

Do you still double declutch in your manual car? Still do it out of habit after many years of driving unsynchronized gearboxes 🤓

What do you pack for a long distance ride?

Depends how many days, of course!
Brisbane- Perth: a change of jocks and sox, a sanger, some nuts, a frozen coffee and an apple.
A 24 hour jobbie- just the food.

What is your fave ice cream?

I have a modest pile of later edition vinyl (not the early heavy "bakelite"(?) records.  Also have a transcribing machine but have never made the time to convert them.

Do you print any photos?
