When riding long distance, I always eat frugally, because output = input

... and there is often not a suitable 'dropping off' point available when the need arises.

Its only about an hour and twenty mins ride from Donald to Halls Gap

I've noticed my spot hasn't moved today but I have been out riding. My other gps tracker got the whole trip.

Probably. I sometimes have connection problems with my Telstra phone in that area.
I see you rode through Vic Valley Rd today, some nice scenery through there, and a slow easy pace with plenty of time to see everything because of windy roads and lo speed warnings.

Some very scenic views along Mt Victory road close by as well. Great twisties to ride through leading to Zumsteins.

Its a great view from the top of Mt William, too. Bet you enjoyed the road there.

Yes. I got a couple of photos on the up but the top was in the clouds and I couldn't see anything. Victoria Valley... a couple of nice views but nowhere safe to stop and take photos. There was one lookout but from there couldn't see much. The funniest thing I saw today was a tractor try to lift up a car. Eventually they gave up and used the tractor to tow it away. I don't know why they didn't do that in the first place. The gopro should have captured all of it.
