That's a testimony to their integrity.
The next test will be your premiums and excess on your next bike.  I had a minor claim on Youi that was four times my excess, with no increase in either on renewal.

Beautiful day for a ride yesterday, went to Northam for coffee, on the way home due to my lack of attention I ran off the road, unable to touch brake and disengage MCcruise, set at 110kph, I had to try to ride it out, I collected a guide post with left tip over bar, went around second post and started to come back onto the road, however I failed to miss a third post after 50 metres all up, this stuffed every thing up.

The only damage to me was abrasions to my lower legs caused by kevlar in the Draggin jeans, how lucky I am.

No gravel rash Lindsay, only kevlar rash and that has healed well.
According to shannons my 65% no claim bonus is protected for life, I have 3 other bikes insured with them and I have a meeting with the state manager tomorrow on another matter.

Goodness gracious Yorky.
So glad you are ok. I need to check OZSToc more often. Pleased you have insurance that will keep you on the road and that you have little to heal.
I'll bring coffee with me on my next trip to York.

Shannon's have paid me out the insured value, $7,600 and a voucher for replacement helmet, I was offered the bike for $800 but knocked it back, will go to the auction and see what happens there.

Reckon you'd buy it for parts yourself?

Shannons offered it to me for $800, it is of no use to me as I don't plan on purchasing another although it has mccruise, alarm/immobiliser fitted, rubber as done 4k, here is the link

The MC Cruise is worth $1000, but would only on-sell for $500.  Tyres might fetch $300, so it's a break-even for a buyer if they got it for $800.
Agreed it's no use to you if you're not getting another one.  There's not much you could use on an ST1300...   :whistle

It is, however, one of the rare 6 speed models, I see on the auctioneer's description.    :eek

They sure lose their glamour when they lay on their side on a pallet, covered in dust with bad scars.

Thanks Wendy, it was a sad loss.
The reason it is on a pallet is still in "6"th gear and the clutch lever is only 30mm long now, I guess nobody bothered to try to take it out of gear, easier to put on a pallet

A quick flick up with the gear lever, and it should pop in to neutral.
