It was a long time coming but was great to get out to a Ride To Eat for the first time in three months today. Just the five of us today. It was a good feed and I shan't be cooking dinner tonight.
My day started off in the dark and checking the GPO Box on the way through to Kapunda via Main North Road. I've been here several times but it was the first time I noticed the old bridge at Kapunda. Map the miner was the first big thing I photographed on a bike trip. I have several photos of it but today was the first time I got the bike a the picture.
I rode to Eudunda but turned off to Marrabel before the centre of town. I zoomed in from the Hampden turnoff.
A derestricted speed limit sign was the only thing worth seeing in Hampden.
I knew of Marrabel's buckjumper after a friend had posted it on instagram.
Animals seemed to be pretty interested in what I was doing today, like this sheep in Steelton. I stopped t get a photo of some rusty farm equipment and zoomed in on some wind turbines while I was at it.
Sign of the times in Waterloo.
I quite like these stencil signs, but they are better if you put them in front of something where the color contrast makes them easy to see.
One of two barking dogs in Farrell Flat.
Two more in Mintaro.
After refuelling in Clare I had time to spare so I rode to Spring Gully and back. Sheep there were also interested in what I was doing.
Upon arrival at Sevenhill and parking up I went for a walk around the building. Seeing firewood suggested there was a log fire inside. Stinky Pete was a fan of said log fire.
I snapped all the other bikes rock up, Richo followed by Shillas.
No deviations for the ride home. I traversed the Northern Connector for the first time which was interesting as I couldn't see through the 'white rain' and was unsure of how the road went (ie. exits etc.).
Thanks to Shillas for organising.
