Afternoon Delight
« on: June 17, 2020, 06:17:25 PM »
With Sue working from home and unable to keep me occupied, I figured, seeing as it was quite a sunny day outside that I'd better make the most of it and go for a ride...

Hmmm, where to go?

After a bit of a think I decided on one of my favourite rides...traversing some of my favourite backroads within South Gippsland while keeping off the main highways as much as possible.

First off, Leongatha via Korumburra South & then Stock Route/Andersons Rds.

Heading through the Leongatha township I branched off the main road and onto Wild Dog Valley Rd.
I then hung a right turn onto Leongatha Nth Rd and followed that through to the end where I then did a left hander and headed for Hallston on the Yarragon-Leongatha Rd.
A right turn onto the "famous" Grand Ridge Rd then saw me heading towards Mirboo Nth. Once through the town I re-joined the Grand Ridge Rd and followed that until the turnoff to Mirboo...

It was then on to the township of Dumbalk where I then hung a right and headed back to Leongatha via Nerrena Rd.

From there it's normally a boring run to Korumburra but as I was trying to keep off the highway as much as possible I turned off at Ruby onto the Ruby-Arawata Rd.
A left turn at the Kardella-Fairbank Rd intersection saw me heading through the "township" of Kardella and on to Korumburra and home.

All in all, quite a satisfying ride...  :grin

Unfortunately I didn't make any stops for photos...  :fp

Perhaps this will entertain you seeing as I stole their song title... :whistle

Did you remember to get the milk?? That was the excuse if asked wasnt it..

In WA we can go anywhere ( pretty well, except for indigenous reserves), just cant cross the border yet.

Damn! I forgot the milk... :||||

Actually, pretty sure we don't need to carry milk these days...  :grin

Oh, and we're allowed to cross the border here...well, with NSW anyhow, but who'd wanna do that?  |-i
