Top Box ST1100
« on: May 08, 2012, 06:21:58 PM »
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a top box for my 95 ST1100, I currently have an old Krauser but I would like one with a back rest for the missus. Mine fits a full face and has room for gloves, glasses etc, I am not sure of the capacity but it is approx 55 x 40 x 30cm and this seems fine. Do i need a new mounting plate as well?
Scott.

I have one of these which I kept from a previous bike. I mounted it to the OEM optional rear reck that I had to purchase. I paid about $70 for mine way back in 2004.

As it is now on my 1100. I had to mount a little further back (about 50mm) to suit my partner but top case hasn't moved since I installed and is never taken off bike.

I put on a Bestem 929 Top box, fits my helmet just fine.

if you click the link below is the story of how i put mine on:

but has worked a treat, and like Alans it has not moved at all.

Looks identical to mine.

Wonder who actually makes it.

I know Givi make white boxes, probably others too.  I doubt it'll be a perfect match but probably close enough.  I don't think Honda ever made their top box in white, but maybe I am wrong.

My bikes white also and I couldn't get a decent looking box to match. I ended up getting a silver Givi and taking it to a local panelbeater who matched it up with the bike. Cost me $50 for the spray job.
