I don't think the price is that excessive. Even though the bike is a '99 it is one of a very few imported into Australia and with those kms it really is almost new. If the bike is as good as the seller says with no damage it'd be great to have.

I think for someone who wanted as close to new as possible a ST11, it would be well worth looking at.  Gold is the new white it seems, as they are all coming out of the woodwork.

True, but not the way the owner describes it.  Sounds fair dinkum.  He's negotiable on price.  $8K is his ideal, but wait long enough and you'll get it at what you want to pay.  It's almost a collectable item as it is, looking in top original nick, which as discussed elsewhere, is the key consideration.
