I fitted a set and I am 6:1, they give me more options for leg positions. Having a gimpy leg it helps me get comfortable on long trips. :blk13

Well I had a lovely morning fitting MCL's Highway Wings, along with pillion lowering pegs and rider lowering pegs. They were all simple to get on. The Boss Dearest likes the new leg position with her lower pegs. I like the highway wings. I am heading for a ride this arvo to see if I can get used to the lower riders pegs when clutching or braking or if I will simply just go back to the old ones (I haven't got a photo of them yet). I sometimes get a leg cramp when I first place my right leg on the peg so hopefully a lower peg will solve this.
I am now waiting for Sargent seats and a reservoir cover with dual ram balls. - Its gunna be a good Christmas :)

I went for that ride with the lowering pegs installed. I found it was a nice riding position and was easy to get used to. My legs are now positioned beside the lower part of the tank cowling instead of the upper part. I have adjusted the brake down so it is just below level. The shifter for the clutch is still in the same spot.
It means I have to lift the foot a little to downshift, but upshift is easier because I dont have to try to get my foot under it. It can be adjusted, but its right up underneath the back of the motor. I think I will get it done at next service by the guy with the proper gear :)

It's all about one size fits all in the motorcycle world... Certainly not be case, so it's great we have these things at our disposal to custom fit the bike to fit our individual sizes. Otherwise it'd be cruisers with forward controls or dirt/adventure bikes for you 6' + guys..
I jus wanna ride my bike

Motor Cycle Larry (MCL) in the US sells them. You will find the link in one of my posts above but it is not working at the moment. I went into Motor Cycle Larrys site and it will not work from there either.

Here is the link for the MCL Highway Blades for the ST1100 (it is working at the time of this post) but it doesn’t look like they will fit the Police version of the ST1100 :(

http://www.motorcyclelarry.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_4&products_id=357

BUT

I suggest you have a chat to Tipsy about the Stainless Highway Blades/wings he makes and supplies exclusively to members of OzSTOC :thumb
A few of the guys have them and have reported good things about them :thumbs

Here is the link to the topic on them:

The 1300 and 1100 baldes will fit the P models, after you carefully grind out the Siren mounting points

               ONLY $150:00 a pair,      that's TWO blades

Tipsy has designed the mounting TO USE the siren mounting plate
so DON'T grind them out   OK !
the non police models, need a bracket to hold the blades,
Tipsy has designed a bracket that , as far as I know, works, I will ask Streak, if his new modified bracket works all right

a price of $150 A PAIR has been mentioned a few times  now,
and after the initial development and manufacturing cost's have been met,
the extra income will be going to be given to OZSTOC
