I'm going out on a limb and only posting in one. I'll let you schizophrenics pop up in both since you're obviously being catered for here.

Lots of lovely adapter plugs in a tidy carry bag. Obviously plenty of flash depictions of its capabilities but I can see no helpful facts about capacity. Jump staring diesel fourbies takes a bit more grunt than recharging a mobile phone.

You're right about that, Gavo and Shiney.

That was 150 compressions on the Ducati and 9 starts of the V6 Toyota.
Most batteries would be getting pretty hot after all that current through them!

I received mine same , just different color and yes it did start the bike with leeds disconnected from battery.

Up to 4ltr petrol engines apparently.

Looks very interesting. I guess the same sort of technology as the Lithium Battery I got for my 1300. Tried it yesterday and it started the bike just like the original battery.

I always knew Goldwings were mini cars, but that proves it!!
No wonder they weigh more than 400 kg.

I wonder if the Lithium jobbie would replace that big sucker? Even if you put two in parallel you'r be in front weight-wise.

lets you select one for GL1800s and H/Ds.
I was going to try mine out on the GL1500, feel sure it would handle it OK but didn't feel like pulling the seat off (can be a pain to refit with the lambs wool seat cover). I will try it out when I get keen one day.

PS the Goldwing battery in the photo was an old one I had replaced earlier this year.

It will be interesting down the track to see what life people get, when these things are 2 to 3 times the price of a gel cell etc. Also how they ended up since we know they die without warning, unlike the drop-off that lead-acid give. Having said that, whenever a lead-acid has dropped its bundle, it's never given me any warning. Just two compressions or two clicks.

I note their 360 and 480 CCAs are the same price. Logically one would buy the more powerful one for the same $$, but there must be a penalty somehow- maybe longevity?

The ST1300 one is 240 CCA and $150 FOB, which isn't too bad.
