Whilst I suppose it's a bit late to be reading comparative reviews of 11's and 13's, (I've already got a 13!), it did provide me with a really good understanding of the differences between the two bikes. I was impressed by the impartiality of both reviewers and the solid facts both presented. All in all these two reviews made really good reading.

Thanks Allans1100, well found and thank you for putting them here.

Cheers

There are a few other tests I have, including comments from people moving from the ST11 to the ST13. I will dig them up and see how best to get them up.

I read some of these 11 vs 13 tests before I bought mine, just out of interest.

One thing that made me laugh in one of them was that "Honda had listened to what owners wanted, more power and less weight".

So they gave them 5kgs less on a 300kg bike, and 5hp more!   :fp

OK I know that's not the full story - more torque from the 1300 plus it's a good looking bike and more sporty handling (so I read, I've not ridden one).  But even so.... IMHO they could have done something to get the weight off.

I'm obviously trawling through a few posts I missed, hence the two months late reply.

The biggest contributor to the weight we hate is the things we like, namely, the pretty plastic and the great baggage bins.

This what your ideal ST1300 would look like:

Happy with that?
