Stoner return?...
« on: January 25, 2014, 06:17:52 PM »
This article neither confirms nor denies the possibility, but is positive rather than adamantly against a come back.

These words from (Sir) Mick Doohan...

G'morning...
I was flicking through the channels the other day and fluked upon Sir Mick's first GP win .
It included Wayne Gardner as well..... Mick made it all look easy ... Smooth and seamless.... If only I was that good.
I jus wanna ride my bike

Really just a page filler stating the bleeding obvious.
If he has any sense, Stoner will stay on the couch and bask in his achievements.  It's someone else's turn.
He'll just hurt himself or embarrass himself if he steps up again.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

After reading Stoner's book, "Pushing The Limits" it's difficult to believe that he would return to GP racing.  He'd simply had a gut full of racing in the end and seemed to despise everything about GP.  It's a shame as the bloke was such a huge talent on two wheels!

Cheers,

He's making a squillion just being a test and devlopment rider for Honda, why would he bother racing when he gets to ride some of the fastest and most exhilarating bikes in the world.
