How do I connect GME 3500 to Sena SR10?
« on: June 17, 2014, 02:30:36 PM »
Does anyone know how I connect my gme 3500 to an Sena SR10, I have then connector lead with 4 wires, do I have to cut the microphone plug off and re wire it, and do I need a jack plug so I can hear the conversation so using my helmet speakers as extension speakers.
Basically looking for a wiring diagram, am using the headlight pass switch as a ptt button.

A few of us have done the same thing but into a Uniden 7700. All posted on here. I have a seperate lead you can try. It uses two wires from the normal PTT lead in the front and a second speaker lead from the aux jack in the rear. Yorkie has run a patch lead internal to have all four wires into the front which looks a lot better.
Give us a call or PM  :phone  :CB--

I havent done one for the Uniden, so dont have the pin out for the plug, but I'm sure Yorkie does and will post it shortly. It doesnt take long to make, just need a bit of wire and a plug for the audio out.

The below is the radio that Yorkie, Wombat, and I have.
If you already have the blank Sena cable then have a chat with Yorkie as he did mine in such a way that there is only 1 cable and the speaker works as well :-)

Stu, You can order the radio, I will need it and the lead for about 15 mins and you will be good to go.
A good excuse for a ride to York.

Better to get the radio from Presige or Dale, at least then you have a waranty (until you open it and change things.)

Trina bought mine on eBay. It came from Prestige which is 10km from where I live. When I saw the receipt I laughed. Then went back to them for aerial and sr10 direct.

A huge thanks to Yorkie for dancing his nimble fingers over my UHF patch lead
the 4 hour turn around ride from rockingham to York and back for what was 15 minutes work was enjoyable to say the least
lovely weather unlike the forecast tomorrow

He also fits heated hand grips

Vote 1 - Yorkie elevated to god like satus

cheers brian
