Anywhere from 100 to 120 km before it usually moves off the full mark. Well, that's what mine does on average.

About 250k at the half way point and usually around 400 km before it gets to the red (or fuel warning light) ........unless I'm towing the trailer

Seriously,  ive   run out twice any body have a  fuel guage problem with ST1100?? Please no more comedy, its really an issue

OK.

The guys werent being facetious, it does take a while for the gauge to move from full. It sounds like your fuel transmitter is stuck. sounds like you will need to pull the fuel pump/sender assy out of the tank ( it comes out the top) and have a look. If it has gone bad, it might be repaireable, or it may need to be replaced.

In the mean time, fill the tank, reset the odometer and refill at around 400 Ks

If you are doing city riding, the ST may be a touch thirstier, I would aim for a refill every 300km just to be safe if you are in a lot of stop start traffic.

Sounds like a fuel warning light failure as well. The sensor is attached to the fuel pump The low fuel warning should activate at about 4 litres to empty.

The actual fuel level for the gauge is on the LH side of the tank and has nothing to do with the fuel pump: see item 20. Even if this sticks or fails the low level fuel sensor on the pump should still activate the warning light unless like mine the sensor has failed.

Well there you go, I have never seen that before..  better let the tank empty before pulling the sender unit out..
