Tassie Winter RTE 12 JULY 2015
« on: June 06, 2015, 08:42:14 PM »
The time has come to have a ride.  The venue will be the Beachfront at Bicheno.  Nice and central.  I haven't booked yet, will wait for numbers and do it a week out.  Shouldn't be too many problems.  Hope to see as many as possible.
Thanks
Carsten

Ride is still going ahead.  Looks like Phil, Simon, possibly Baz and myself.  Leaving Banjoes at Sorell at 9.30.  Coffee at Orford and lunch at Bicheno at whatever time we get there.

Looking at tonight's forecast, you'd be stark raving mad!    :grin

But then, I guess you're used to a bit of cool weather this time of the year.
We're looking for another layer tonight- it's down to 16o!    :eek
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Hmmm now that you say ...Yesterdays commute (at 9am) had 0deg on the ST's gauge; snowcapped Mt Wellington; Warning signs on the highway for "Ice on Road"; so yeah You're right Biggles!

Re the ride on Sunday... I think Michael McCarthy is going to try to join us at Bicheno too.

Lets start the ride report for yesterday.....there isnt one.  Due to illness and unfavourable weather we decided to cancel and reschedule.  In true Tasmanian style, today would have been a beautiful day for a ride.
