Personally I've never been a fan of any BMW's, car or bike...
People bung on about "so called" superior German engineering but the couple of Beemers I've ridden had me wondering as the gearboxes felt like they belonged in a tractor.
A mate of mine also had one of the original K75 triples and I still remember the cloud of blue smoke that came out of it on startup every time it had been parked on it's side stand.
Oh, and another thing that I hated...from what I remember Beemers had separate indicator switches and yet another switch to cancel?
What's wrong with having one switch that does the lot like most motorcycle manufacturers use?
Anyways, if I had that sort of money to spend on a bike I reckon, like Mark said, a Goldwing would do nicely...and that comes with superior Japanese engineering...
