Hi Fellas
No prizes for figuring out whats wrong with this ST..................The full story will come later.

I can see 4 things wrong with the bike.

1. The Honda wing is on backwards.
2. Seat badly needs a shave
3. Bike is red

and worst thing,
4. Bike id in the shed, not on the road.

So,heres the story...............The short version.
I decided to give the old girl a makeover,including a full repaint. Did all of the repair/prep work,and finally decided on a colour.After applying the colour and clear,I resanded the shelter,applied the decals,then recleared it. Took the bits home,sat the shelter on the bike and thought...........hmmmmmm,thats not quite right. The rest,as they say,is history..........................
Last week I reworked the shelter,with the decals in the correct place, but it took a lot of very careful work to get it all sorted without having to resort to a full repaint on the shelter,
Bugger wasnt quite the word I used................................

Well you got the number of things right, just the details wrong. Number 3 should be -it is an 1100 and not a 1300.
The colour is what laurie did get right

i think it is quite funny in itself that Deisel rides and ST1300, and I ride an ST1100 seems the like balance started at the top, and is how it should be...

two great ST's one newer than the other, but both brilliant machines that we all love to tell everyone who much better than the off brand's they ride.

or as i like to tell my brother in law when his BMW wont start, "would you like me to take the badges off my honda and put them on your BMW so it will start" for some reason he never laughs with me on that one :)

Good call guys. We ALL share the same DNA, and we could ALL be riding something a lot less than the glorious ST. Think of those poor Beemer pilots (sorry Baz - just funnin').

I for one would have an 1100 in my man cave quicker than you could say 'Jack Robinson' - problem is.... my ST13 is going to last well beyond 220,000kms like the 1100s - BUGGER! What a conundrum.

Keep flying the ST colours troops and don't laugh too hard at those who chose the FJR or GTR1400 as their ride..... it's OUR secret!

I'll go with Picasso (not that I have a choice .....). After nearly 40 years of painting bikes,(with an occasional hiccup along the way) the name seems appropriate. My great mate "Greencan" started calling me Yoda after spending a few days helping me paint his Triumph triple, untill the decal debacle,then it was plain old fashioned f...wit.............

Picasso seems to be suitable keeping in line that the St is a work of art & with reversed wings is a little abstract

I thought Picasso was pretty good. Wings would be second best. At least with Wings you can't spell it incorrectly or mix it up and get it around the wrong way.

Mate I've been...

...and have had a brilliant idea!

Remember how Yoda nearly choked on his Merlot one evening while seated out near the pool when I suggested to him I'd like to have all 36 individual pieces that combine to make a complete fairing etc of an 1100 painted all different colours (yes I am aware John G. did this decades ago...so I am not exactly breaking new ground here...but hey his bike was an R75)...except the inner filler under the head lamp that SHOULD BE BLACK!!!...Well...

What if we both come along to this ST get together next year and while you and Baz on his truck tell of travels past...I'll pop out the back and 'trade' a few panels from all the other 1100's

...problem solved

Only Guys riding white, red, black, or gold bikes need to be concerned...as I have ample supply of green and blue bits

Just a thought.
