Tamworth Blue Ribbon week end.
« on: August 04, 2014, 06:17:59 PM »
This is an open invite to all bike riders to attend the Tamworth VJMC Blue Ribbon Ride Weekend, 20th and 21st September 2014.
The purpose of the weekend is to raise dollars for the Prostate Research Fund. This is I believe a good cause as it could effect any one of us or our sons/grandsons.

Programe;
               Saturday 20th, meeting at the Gasweld carpark at the corner of Ebsworth street (New England Highway) and Bridge street (Oxley Highway) at 9am. This is between the local Yamaha/Triumph dealer and the Gasweld shop and has a coffee/donut shop in the carpark. Cost of ride is $10.00. Blue ribbon badges and raffle tickets will be on sale as well.
The ride will go to Werris Creek, Caroona, Quirindi, Wallabadah to Nundle for a pub lunch. Then on to Nemingah, Kootingal, Moonbi and back to the Tamworth Bowling club for a refreshing ale. The evenings dinner will be at the same club corner of Brisbane and Napier streets (corner of ANZAC park) beginning at 6pm. The restaurant services both Australian and Asian food at reasonable prices. Drinks are club prices too.

Sunday;
             The Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club will be holding a street show of Japanese motorcycles made before 1999 in Fitzroy street near the Peel street (main street) intersection adjacent to the historic post office. It is $10.00 to enter a bike, and registrations will be taken from 8am. Show goes from 9 to 1pm when trophy's will be presented. The monthly street markets are also on this day and coffee shops open in main street.

Entries will be taken on the day for ride or show. Can also be accessed on Facebook at; Tamworth VJMC Blue Ribbon Ride.

Accommodation ranges from caravan park, pubs and motels and should be easy to book.

Come along for the ride to see our bit of this wonderful country, have a feed and drink with like minded people and come and see some old bikes.
