Ive battled the fork seal replacement and i have come to a noisy no further.
I have the slides in ,  seal and retaining clip
And oil .
I cant seem to compress the tube eneogh to do up the small bolt on the bottom of the fork .
Any help would be great .
Cheers
Gaz

Yorkie:
If that bolt is not in situ the oil will drain out, that holds the damper in place.

STroppy:
Maybe you could try using a longer bolt of same thread size to insert and try and pull the shaft down to the open hole . . If need to I think you can top up the oil thru that bolt hole . .

Thanks STroppy and Yorkie . I will see if i can find a bolt or some threaded bar .

West Aussie Glen:
I started to watch an interesting youtube on replacing GL1500 fork seals the other day but tonight only have limited internet so suggest you search youtube for GL1500 Fork seals.
