A thrust washer by any other name?
« on: March 04, 2024, 05:40:38 PM »
My 1995 Honda St1100 ABS/TCS has lost its original rear wheel thrust washer. Probably wore through and fell out during wheel servicing. The part number is 42616-MT3-000. ST1100s from 1996 have part number 42616-MAJ-G20. Neither part has dimensions provided. The only one I can get for a long trip this week is 42616-MAJ-G20 which has been installed. It is making a slight "growling" noise when I spin the wheel but fine when riding.

Can anybody elucidate based on prior experience?

Regards

It is my understanding that the original washer is steel and the newer one is nylon. For future reference I suggest that those that have spares could measure the :
1. Inner diameter
2. Outer diameter
3. Thickness

That way we could compare dimensions
