When I try to go into 1st slowly I get a very loud crunching gear sound. I've changed oil in clutch and bled it. New oil in motor Penrite 10/40. If I push fast in gear to 1 from neutral quickly bike jumps. Never happens while moving gear change is very good then.
Any ideas please

Sounds like you clutch is dragging.
Could be warped plates or the clutch basket 'fingers' have grooves worn in them that do not allow the plates to separate properly.
How many Km's on bike?

Not really, clutch is on front of engine and easy to access.

Try doing a clutch fluid change firtst. Its easier to do.
You may have a bit of air in the line, or moisture that is preventing proper disengagement.
Next oil change, try a 25W50 oil, we dont need 10w40 unless in long term cold conditions ( like snow)

That's Brock. I don't live near snow so I'll do both of these things in next few days. Any special oil. I've always used Penrite.

I used (always have) Penrite HPR30' 20-60w on my recent trip (>18000km) and never had an issue.
Also changed brake and clutch fluid prior to trip.
Now, 94,000km on the clock

I use Penrite HPR 20W50 (or 60) Diesel oil. It seems to work very well, the extra zinc helps quietening the gear changes.

Depends where you live - I'm using 15w-50 as some of our night temps get down to 0C or below during the winter months.
When I first got my 1100 I had trouble getting into first after an oil change - I put it down to a mix of different branded oils in the clutch; sorted it self out after a couple hundred km. Bike at that time had only 24,000 km now up to 183,000 km without having that issue again; no matter which oil I use.
