I'm now the proud owner of a 2005 ST1300 (burgundy) and noticed after picking her up that the previous owner has blue tacked the mirror covers on as the clips that fit into the fairing are mostly broken. I have talked to my local dealer and we are having difficulty identifying the clips from the microfiche. Has anyone ordered these clips before and if so I'm after the part number.
Any assistance appreciated.

Already been there, similar issue as looking at the fiche at the dealer. Not enough fine detail to identify the item I need.

:blu13 i think they are the 3 clips that hold the mirror housing on Yes/No?? :think1 :blu13left

Number 7 is a 5mm bolt with the associated plastic fairing clip. Already looked at that one.

Yep I'm after the 6 clips (3 on each side) that fit inside the plastic that the mirror covers push into, the ones on mine have a Phillips screw in the middle. These have four fingers that the ball on the mirror pushes into, I've used double sided tape short term. hopefully I can get replacements or might have to chase them up from a wreck.
-
:blu13 YES then definitely #7 the plastic on the mirror housing clip into them :like hope this helps :blu13left

These are spring clips that surround the metal teeth. Without them the metal teeth aren't strong enough.
You want item #20.
Been there, done that.
-
#7 is the spring clip
#15 is the screw that secures it to your fairing

Number 7 is the part. They are very hard to fit, because there is a nut on the back of the front one from memory.
Diesel has had the nose paid off, so should be able to confirm.
Mine was fitted by the local dealership at a service.
-
On my parts list item 7 is called "washer, mirror setting spring", though the picture indicates it also includes the screw (item 14).
-
Part 20 on the Fiche Parts Diagram will be needed as well. That is the little round clip that tensions the four fingers. I've lost and replaced a few of them over the years and keep a few spares.
-
I think I'm going to need the fingers as well as a number of mine are broken. Not a cheap item to replace, if the part I've ordered is correct they retail at $7 and there are 6 in total plus the retaining clips. Thats about $50-$60 for a full set, lucky I did not buy the BMW I was looking at, I'm sure the same sort of items from BMW would have set me back a second mortgage.
-
It is worth doing though. I replaced 3 of mine and never had a problem again.
Having said that, I do recommend cable tying the mirror cover to the body of the bike. Make it so that if knocked off l, the indicator wiring is not stretched.
The reason for cable tying is the occasional pedestrian bumping them in car parks or the odd small bird strike on the road. I even had a pressure wave from an oncoming truck loosen one.
Replacing it after it slides down the road is expensive.

The washer is the fingers.

So the way I'm reading the fiche is #7 includes both the screw (shame you cant order the fingers separate) and the fingers and #18 is retaining clip. I'll order one of both and hope that when they come in they are correct, the dealer has told me if I do the order this way he is happy to put them on his shelf if they are not correct.

#18 is a nut insert. You need 6 of #7 and 6 of #20.
ie 6* 88115-MT3-000
& 6 * 95002-02100

Are we looking at the same fiche?
Part #20 on my fiche found here:
http://www.bikebandit.com/oem-parts/2009-honda-st1300-st1300/o/m18411#sch611190 (http://www.bikebandit.com/oem-parts/2009-honda-st1300-st1300/o/m18411#sch611190)
appears like this:
20: BOLT, FLANGE (6X20) 740127 96001-06020-00
Not the same part number you listed as above
The part listed as #18 lists as:
18: 025098-5 CLIP, TUBE (B10) 736555 95002-02100
Which is the same part you listed. Your part # above is the correct Honda part number but not the same number listed in the fiche.
I'm confused as to why the fiche part # are different.
I now do know the correct Honda part # so I can now go to the dealership and be confident that the order will be correct.
Thanks everyone for your feedback.

Looking at the parts list here http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/Honda/Motorcycle/2006/ST1300PA%20A/UPPER%20COWL/parts.html (http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/Honda/Motorcycle/2006/ST1300PA%20A/UPPER%20COWL/parts.html) you would only need to order Item seven as that is a set. The only items that need 6 of are items 7 (88115-MT3-000), 16 (93500-05012-0A) and 19 (94050-05000)
The diagram shows item (7 & 16) and a line pointing to a location. It also shows an item 19 line going to the other side so you would also need to order those.

I Looked at the Police version but the part numbers are the same so item 19 is 18 and item 16 is 15 in the other models
You can get the straps as well part number 90650-MA6-720 x2 and two screws 93903-22320 if they're missing

Any suitable sized tie wrap does the job just as well as a Honda $$$ one.

Ahh!! sorry. I was looking at my own pdf parts list and compared it to the bluecity honda parts list. As you say the part numbers are correct, but the item numbers are different for each version of the parts list.
