PM sent, thank you.

Can check it out Sunday

Hi Bill
I am having trouble trying to PM you. I would suggest that Hackle is a reliable choice to look at the bike as I am unavailable until we return from the FarRide to Moree
Cheers Rex (aussiexs)

Dunno what's happening with the PMs- just getting my PMs quoted back to me. :crazy
No sweat Rex. Good old Denis is having a look tomorrow. Also have Jonno offering on standby, as well as Single.
Lots of good people around here. :thumbs

Biggles and aussiexs, have you deleted your old messages lately? They start bouncing if you have too many.

Might be something in that. However, I have 15 pages of them dating back 3 years, so the space available is pretty generous.
I'll knock off a few I possibly won't need again... :think1

I hit a limit and couldn't receive any more. I delete most these days,

Bill does this mean you have sold the Wing?

Bill does this mean you have sold the Wing?
Rode out the door a couple of hours ago. It's going to Clermont to a good home.
It took a month and five enquirers to sell, but this guy was fair dinkum. Nice to see him so excited about it.
No regrets- I enjoyed it while I had it, but know what I liked and what I didn't like. The "didn't likes" won by enough to wear a loss over the 7 months and 7500 kays of ownership.
Now I've got to replace it with another ST.
The V-Strom suddenly thinks it's boss of the garage, but not for long- :grin

I'm sorry it wasn't a good fit, however, you can tick that one off the bucket liST and now the fun n games of finding the next thing unless of course the STrom is that all rounder I've read about on this site somewhere

The Strom is a great bike, but it's not a FarWeapon- not enough range or weather protection.
Denis has given the thumbs-up on the ST in Traralgon, so a deposit has been paid.
-
:thumbsup nice one......are you going to retrieve it or have it freighted up?

Congratulations Bill on your lateST acquisition :clap :clap. :13Candy

Sorry for being presumptuous :13Candy, but you wouldn't settle for any other :grin, would you :-(((

I bought it to ride, not get shuttled around in boxes. :grin
Just got to man up for the Victorian winter.

There were a few quite attractive younger fillies, but I'm not a fan of black. Maybe too easily mistaken for a Harley. :eek
But really, the Candy Glory Red is hard to beat. Will match the Strom nicely.
This one comes with cruise control, bar risers, heated grips, sheepie, top box, new tyres, very low kays, blemish-free and Denis' blessing all for $12,000.
None of the other 14 on my short list came near it.
It was meant for me- it had been on the 'net since November last year! :runyay

Sounds like a great find Biggles, congratulations mate :hatwave
I look forward to seeing on a RTE some time :thumbsup

Kinda highlights there are many more ST's out there that have yet to visit this great group ..... A good example is my Ol' grey ghoST residing out at Esk

Bill, if you need someone to ride it back up to Brissy, I will be happy to go down and ride it back for you, would possibly take a left out of Traralgon and come into brissy on the north side :grin
-
Hi Bill,
If you need Airport pickup and drop off to Traralgon please let me know.
Cheers.

Yeah, right! You'd double the mileage on it and drop it in to me ready for a service.
Generous offer noted and filed for reference "if required"! :p

You guys are above and beyond...
I'll see how I go. I can't get there this week, and besides, he's fitting new tyres and getting the RWC. I'm looking at week of 13th. Just need the Mexicans to get their weather organised. It's pretty pathetic all down the east coast at present.
-
The weather isn't cooperating with this exercise, so I'm biting the icicle and going to Melbourne Tuesday morning and going by train to Traralgon to pick up the bike.
It will be wet, but I want the bike for the IBA Parkes ride. The little V-Strom did the Moree FarRide very capably, but I want the ST for this bigger ride.
Thanks again to Denis for assessing the bike and the other offers of help.
The forecast indicates the weather will improve the further north I travel from Traralgon, especially getting up onto the Newell Highway. I'll be packing the thermals, heated vest, gloves etc (after they dry from today's deluge).
-
enjoy your ride back Bill. I will be interested in any information you have regarding the Newell on the way back as I am using that for Parkes.
-
:13Candy Hello Bill.....come in over.............Bill you there??????
How are you travelling? and dont say by :13Candy

Thanks for that, mate.
I'm in Mansfield overnighting. Just got too cold in the rain at 8o.
I don't have a target for tomorrow, but do want to be home as early as possible Thursday.
Bike seems to be the goods. There's a glitch in the side-stand switch because you can't start it with the side-stand up in gear with the clutch in.
Or is that the clutch switch? Anyway, it scared me at my first stop until I put it in neutral to achieve a start.
No quote from the library today because I don't have the latest extracts with me on the lappy. >:()

Good to hear from you Bill
Take care and enjoy your new toy....... I envy your trip home getting acquainted with Ruby IIsday.
I look back fondly on those couple of days back in October and the whole experience bringing my 2nd ST home from Tamworth.........Cheers Brian

Ruby IIsday.
Very clever. I might even pinch it! Maybe "Ruby 2sday".

You should get a good run thru here on Wednesday but Thursday looks a bit nasty again :fp

:13Candy where is he??

Settled-in for the night in Narrabri. Chickened out of continuing in the dark without good auxiliary lights.
Had a good run- no rain today but flooded paddocks everywhere and water over the road in a few places.
Gave the heated vest and gloves a workout- warmest I was was 13 degrees.

Good to hear :thumb
