Title: New Ride - Super Black Bird (but its blue)
Post by: supasim1 on June 05, 2016, 07:36:58 AM
It is with great regret that after 90,000 klm, 4 wonderful years, i have sold my ST13. After one OZSTOC National Meet (Toowoomba), and several big rides of 6000+klm to various parts - its is farewell for now. I am not saying goodbye, as who knows such a beaut bike with irresistible charms - we will meet again?
FYI - Stayed with the Honda stable, but gone to a CBR1100XX (Super Blackbird).

Fantastic bike- smooth as an ST with "go" laid on.
Once your wrists get too tired holding your torso up and your legs get a permanent kink in them, you find there are still quite a few low kay STs on the 'net.    :grin
But there's no harm in having two bikes- choice (and a "spare") is a wonderful thing!   :thumbs

We have a couple CBRs in town - not something I'd consider as a replacement for an ST; especially for the two of us.

Had a Blackbird for 7 years, great bike you wont regret buying one.
Still miss the acceleration and braking of the Bird.

Thanks for the great responses everyone. Just need the Bird to blow out some steam for a few more years. Might hit the track on her :)) occasionally, something the ST tends not to favour.

Somehow i think i 'will' be back (to the ST) once i decide to settle down a little to grand touring again.

The Blackbird is a very versatile bike, and a similar design concept to the wonderful VFR750.   I toured Tassie with a couple riding tow-up on a Blackbird and was impressed with the comfort, handling and luggage capacity.  You will still be welcome at RTEs on your new ride.
