I'll be riding 'round Australia in a month or two. No itinerary, no time frame. The main thing is that I'll be going counterclockwise, starting from Wollongong. That means I'll head north first, towards Queensland. My main points of interest/destination are the major points of Australia, such as...eastern most point, northern most point, center of Australia, etc. In between those destinations, I'll go were the wind blows. I'll be travelling solo, on my ST1300. I'll be combining camping and staying at pubs/motels.
Any tips? Such as...'must have' gear, places to go, things/places to avoid, etc.
P.S. I'll be unofficially flying the OzSTOC flag by wearing my clobber as much as I can. i.e. OzSTOC jacket. So say g'day if you see a lost looking bald headed OzSTOC'er in your town.

Thanks mate. I wasn't aware the topic had already been discussed. Awesome!

Good idea, going counter clockwise means you travel a shorter distance, you're on the inside of the road and unlikely to fall off the island.

Good one. That...plus the fact I have a balance problem and tend to lean to left all the time. LOL.
